KOD Engineering Consultants is a specialized consulting engineering firm offering comprehensive services in architectural design, structural engineering, supervision, and project management, based in Tartus, Syria. This Privacy Policy outlines our approach to privacy and explains how information is handled when you visit our website at kodsyria.com or communicate with our team.
We respect your privacy and believe in complete transparency. Our website is designed as an informational showcase of our work and engineering capabilities. We operate this site with a clear principle: we do not collect or harvest your personal data.
Information We Collect
This website does not collect, track, or store personal data from visitors during browsing. Specifically:
- No First-Party Cookies or Trackers: We do not set, read, or use any HTTP cookies, tracking beacons, local storage tokens, or session identifiers on our domain.
- No Analytics Scripts: We do not run Google Analytics, advertising trackers, user session recordings, or third-party marketing scripts.
- No Contact Forms: There are no web forms, text fields, or automated submission databases on this website.
The only way visitors share information with us is entirely voluntary — by choosing to reach out directly through our published telephone number or email address via the "Call Us" and "Email Us" links. When you contact us by phone or email, any information you provide (such as your name, email address, phone number, or project requirements) is handled through your own phone or email provider as part of standard direct business communications. That information is not stored, logged, or processed by this website.
Hosting and Server Logs
Like virtually all websites on the Internet, basic technical logs are automatically recorded by our hosting infrastructure and content delivery network when a browser requests a page or asset. These technical logs may include:
- Your Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device platform
- The specific page URLs and files accessed, along with timestamps
- HTTP response status codes
These logs are generated automatically for operational reliability, performance optimization, and cybersecurity purposes (such as preventing malicious traffic and DDoS attacks). They are never linked to personal identities, are never used for marketing or behavioral profiling, and are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties.
Interactive Maps & Third-Party Services (Google Maps)
To help visitors locate our office in Tartus, Syria, our Contact page includes an interactive map embedded via an iframe from Google Maps (google.com/maps). When you access the Contact page, the map is loaded directly from Google's servers. Through this connection, Google receives standard technical request data (such as your IP address, browser metadata, and the referring URL) and may place or access cookies and local storage on your device subject to Google's own privacy terms. KOD Engineering Consultants does not operate or control Google's data handling. We encourage visitors to review the Google Privacy Policy for information on their practices. Visitors who prefer not to load the map can also use the direct external link to view our location directly on Google Maps.
Third-Party Links
Our website contains links to external platforms, including our official company profiles on social media networks (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram) and direct navigation links to Google Maps. If you click on any external links or interact with third-party platforms, please note that those external services have their own independent privacy policies and terms of service. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites.
Changes to This Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect minor changes in website functionality or applicable legal requirements. Any updates will be published directly on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top will indicate when revisions were made.
